Mrs Cullen and 45 students will be travelling to Valencia during the October holidays.

London Olympics 2012

We have 36 pupils from S1-S6 going to the Olympics 2012 in London.  We will be watching the Men’s Basketball Quarter Final, Men’s Hockey and the Women’s Football Final at Wembley Arena.  Miss Duncan, Ms Reid, Mr MacPherson and Mr Davidson along with all 36 pupils are very excited to be attending these events in this once in a lifetime opportunity!

PE Events – January- March 2012

Week commencing 31 January (Tuesday – first round, Wednesday – semi-finals, Friday – finals) – S1 interclass 5-a-side Football Competition held in the Games Hall

Friday 10 February – Giant Heptathlon, held at Aberdeen Sports Village – 7 boys and 7 girls from S2 will be representing Dyce Academy

Friday 16 March – Robert Gordon’s College and Albyn Invitational Cross Country Championships at Countesswells – 17 pupils from all year groups will be competing

Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

Dyce Academy offers the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme at Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels as an extra-curricular activity to any interested pupils in S3 – S6.  We currently have 60 pupils participating in the scheme.  See Mr Ferguson or Mr Jackson for more details.
